- It is possible, but what I do may be a little slow to be used on any large
- bbs. You can generally set up "alias's" with most providers. This is what
- I do. My Girlfriend and I both get mail through my account. I just asked
- my provider to set up an alias to the pop3 mailbox "lance" of "didi"
- so mail addressed to lance@portal.ca and didi@portal.ca both go into the
- same mailbox. When I pop3 them to my machine, I have an arexx script which
- parses the incoming mailfile into two separate ones by identifying the
- "for <lance@portal" [or didi] in the first "received:" header of each msg.
-
- Your provider may not be thrilled with a large number of aliases going to
- one mailbox, either (they are not getting any extra money for it).
-
- Also, many providers will set up a simple pop3-only account for very cheap.
- The cost of which you could just pass on to your bbs members' fees. This
- would be the only way I could think of getting around the "one lump"
- problem.
